YOKOMO Touring Car BD-8
The prototype is debuted in Beijing.
The centre drive train which sees both belts on the same side of the spur, which along with moving the motor 2mm closer to the centre line of the car, help reduce tweak on power. In terms of geometry there is new front c-hub system and rear uprights, Volker choosing for the rear ARS system, which obviously works to give more steering and rear traction. The chassis plate has also been changed with the car’s flex point now moved to the centre of the car compared to the older car where it was more to the front. With all 4 corners able to be swapped with the current BD7 this gives a large range of options to fine tune the car’s setup for different conditions. Ronald Volker is the World Champion after winning the A3. Wow,....
|
Wow, Bruno handed him the win.
|
The live video just stopped in the first min. Where can I find the video?
The commentator voices by liverc were ear piecing and irritating. I was shocked many times. after re-watching the A3 from redrc, scotty as commentator is super. |
Bruno Coelho is fast but could not handle the pressure from hard charging and consistent driving of Ronald Volker. Finally a World Champion!!!!!
Congratulations to Ronald Volker!!!!! |
Without Naoto, Yokomo has Ronald
|
Appalling coverage from Live RC. Waiting for Red RC to upload the A3 final. Might actually be able to watch the final 4 min of the race......

Very disappointed with the LiveRc coverage. RCTV for the next ISTC Worlds, please! |
Kudos to Yukijiro Umino, Ronald Volker's engineer! He's very emotional during the closing stages of A3 main and after the race. ;)
Ronald Volker was eluded for this title for so long, and finaly got the win! |
Ronald deserved it. Fantastic driving!

Back to asymmetric top decks, eh?
Capricorn have a better idea: http://www.capricornrc.com/capricorn...d_product=3090 That allows moving the motor in without the need to have an asymmetric top deck with the potential difference in chassis flex. |
"With all 4 corners able to be swapped with the current BD7 this gives a large range of options to fine tune the car’s setup for different conditions."
Not sure how to read this statement. Is the BD8 essentially adding different orientations to the existing BD7 platform? Sounds like a new BD8 could be setup like the existing BD7? Will be interesting to see how things are packaged. |
Congrats to Ronald for great race management, and alertness...
Leading is easy, passing is hard and takes alot of patience, specially when trying to pass both Volker and Rheinard... No way baby..... |
