Default 2016 Stock Wars presented by MOTIV RC @ 360V2!! Dec 9-11

I am excited to announce the return of Stock Wars for 2016, presented by Motiv RC @ 360V2!

Stock Wars was created last year in an effort to fill a void in the racing schedule when we learned the unfortunate fate of the Riviera & IIC for 2015. We had such a great time and received so much positive feedback that we have decided to do it again! We are keeping the same format but moving dates to hopefully fit everyone's schedule for this year. The location is also changing to 360V2, Donny Lia's track in New Rochelle, NY!

Stock Wars will still offer racers around the U.S. the opportunity to compete against some of the best racers from Mod, 13.5 and 17.5 Touring and 1/12 classes together in 17.5, so don't miss your opportunity to race 17.5 TC or 1/12 with guys like Paul LeMieux, Mike Gee, Drew Ellis, Larry Fairtrace, Eric Anderson, Donny Lia, and more! ROAR rules will apply for TC & 1/12. UF1 rules will apply for F1. USGT will follow standard USGT class rules. Qualifying format will be 4 rounds of Rocket Round style qualifying. SXT 3.0 is the only approved traction additive. All LiPo batteries must be charged in a LiPo sack. Personal Transponders are encouraged, though house transponders are available.

Spec tires will be used for TC, USGT and 1/12. All spec TC, USGT and 1/12 tires must be purchased at the event.

• TC classes will use the Gravity RC Type C, which will be available for $25 per set (limit 2).
• USGT will use the Gravity RC GT premounts, also available at $25 per set (limit 2).
• 1/12 classes will use BSR "Purple Stripe" spec (BSR F1233-s & BSR F1234-s) (limit 3 sets).
• F1 will be limited to CRC and TCS tires, but you may bring your own.

More info to come on this topic.

Standard classes will exclude any racer who has made a top 10 at any National level carpet race over the past 5 years. Also, the winners from last year's standard classes must now race in the Pro class that they won. The races to determine this are: IIC, Snowbirds, ROAR Nationals, US Indoor Champs, MHIC & Halloween Classic.

http://events.rcsignup.com/events/di...nt.cfm?ID=5223

Signups will go live via rcsignup.com at 12/Noon ET on Friday, 16 September. First class will cost $60, while each additional class will be $40. Classes may be added at the event. The Thursday Night Club race will be limited to 1 entry per driver, and will cost $10 to enter. All practice time the week of the event will be Free!

About 360V2
360V2 is owned by Donny Lia and may be the largest indoor Carpet track in the U.S., located in New Rochelle, NY. The track is approximately 110x50 with a brand new, smooth subfloor underneath CRC FastTrak2. The track is located 20-25 minutes from La Guardia Airport (LGA) and is near many hotel and dining options. There is ample space for pitting available. The track is located at 35 River St. New Rochelle, NY 10801

Hotel
Donny got us a great deal with the Radisson that is located right across the street from the track! $99/night with the code dec360. That's about half of the normal rate!

Might be a good reason to buy a 12th scale car.

I appreciate the interest, but I'm not a fan of races offering so many classes. In fact, I almost cut some of those that we are offering this year but decided to just stay consistent with everything for a while. As consistent as I can be anyway, considering our home track MRH closed this year.

Maybe if it was TC and 12th without all the pro and open stuff it would help with the amount of classes. Last year guys ran both anyhow, seems like a perfect race for handout motors if it's all about someone's skill level.

Trust me, I've considered all of that and then some. I also consulted with racers from all over the US on such topics.
