Default Type of radio controller needed

I am new to rc cars but understand alot of basic electronics. My rc car is going to have more features than a standard car for a college project. I aim to have headlights and a mini camera that can be controlled by the radio as well as standard forwards/reverse and left/right controls. So does this mean i will need a 4 channel controller or can it be done with a 2 channel?

I can't picture it working any other way then this...

forward/reverse - channel 1

Turning - Channel 2

Lights (assuming your talking about turning them on and off via remote) Channel 3

Camera - complete control - Channels 4 and 5 Just left and right or up and down Channel 4

However I am not familiar with controllers for air use - maybe the channels work different on those and coulld be adapted for use on your car differently - I do not know about that.

Something like a Futaba 6xas controller will do it.

Ch 1 steering
Ch 2 Fwd/rev
Ch 3 Camera pan
Ch 4 Camera up/down
Ch 5 Lights on/off

Minimum of 5 ch required
