My Capricorn Lab C801 brushless 8s

Yeah but most of them are starting with a pitiful Losi 1/16th, a Mamba combo and 3s...
The plateform you chose is way more adapted to reach very high speed and keeps its stability. It has been designed to do that. That was just my point.
Keep us updated with the speeds ;-)

Funny thing about RC or anyhting else...when someone thinks outside the box and it actually works, most people go nuts, first they don't believe, second they deny what they see, third they all want it! :P (if you can't fight them, join them) whatever....

The way these cars take off when they get a gust of air underneath at speed, your wheelie bar is not going to do anything except perhaps catapult the car on an interesting trajectory.
For stability at speed you need a good body shell and I can tell you the normal shells we use are not enough. Just a bit of air under, and you're flying like you see in F1, end over end and at speeds well below what you are aiming for.
As for security, forget about the car. That is already written off, you just don't know it yet. Just make sure you're a long way off anyone so you don't impale someone on that thing.
The upshot is that makes for better viewing entertainment than a successful speed run video so you might get your fan club up and running after all.
Good luck.
