Never say never but with as crazy as it gets close to race time and the fact that i have to burn most of my vacation for the IIC, I dont know.

I love it out there though, so i may have to try to bank hours.

Scotty is in toronto right now for a race. So no news yet. He gets home monday.

I do not exactly work for the smallest company in the world, (Johnson Controls) nor one of the smallest departments in it. So being that I REALLY want to go, I want to have my request in 3 months ago! I dont want to hear, sorry... that timeframe has been filled from my boss! That and it would be nice to get airfare booked too.

Hi,

I have the same problem XMSRacing has. my deadline for this years vacation was 01.25.06. not knowing when the Vegas race was. I won't be making it again this year.
maybe next year.

I just have not heard of vacation needed that early in the year. My employer is always happy with me for I do a month in advance rather then most guys that do a few days in advance!! I am just a lowly printer so I can take vacation any time I want as long as it is not during busy season which is why September works/worked for me!!

Hi,
I work for one of the major auto suppliers. ever since they filed for Chapter 11 all vacation has become dept dependent.(at our plant) the more people in your dept your chance of getting any time off is better.
they usally base your vacation time off of last years. so I get time off for the Champs. anything else I put in for after the cut off date is hard to get.

Its not really a time to put in issue.. I can ask of 2 weeks before if I really want to. But if others have already asked off for the same time, I would be SOL. They only alot for so many people to take off at a time.
