Let's use this thread to discuss the Gen X 10 R/T specifically and keep the World GT-R thread to more general topics....

Also, feel free to post pics of your cars!

Red or white depending on what the car is doing. If I need more steering, I run red, if I need less, then white.

Default Conversion kit

Brian,
Will there be a conversion kit to turn a LE or SE into the new 10 R/T?
Thanks and God Bless
B

Just finished building this kit. The first major for me will be the Summer Slam @ the Gate in two weeks. I really like the front end width adjustment. No more removing the arms just to change the front track.
I am also using the new McAllister C6 body. First body designed for the class.

Question for those who have built the kit, I used the 5mm spacer for the front A arm as recommended in the instructions and my front ride height is still 7mm did you guys use shims to bring it down to 5mm? I've gone through the instructions several times to see if I assembled something wrong but everything looks right.

I have run WGT-R for almost a year and I think that the spring shim is the issue. To get them to handle well they need droop in the front and removing that shim will drop the nose and add that droop. Just part of the setup.

First race with the new car yesterday. The Gate has the new carpet and the layout has fast sweepers on and off and tight/technical turns for the infield. First off the car as I set it up had a ton of low speed steering and a little low on on power (I had maximum caster as my starting point). I moved two shims to the front to reduce the caster and now the steering was more balanced. I did start with .45mm front springs instead of the kit .50. Other changes were to go to 50k lube in the side dampers and all the way to a black center spring. I am really happy with the car and before the next race I will put stiffer rear side springs on because as grip came up body roll became dramatic. I think that will make the car even better on the sweepers. When it was over I TQ'd and won in a light field.

Thanks OD, I switched to the .45 front springs and am running some droop and now I'm at the 5mm ride height. I'm preparing three bodies for this car to start; McAllister wgtr Vette, HPI Carrera GT, and the HPI Viper, can't wait for our next club race on Wednesday to try the car out!
