Default What products are popular now for touring car?

I just started to run touring car for about two weeks and have been reading A LOT on the forum. I used to run nitro so the driving part is not new to me. However, I am not quite sure about which brand or parts to get as there are so many different ones out there.

The track I usually run on is a medium size indoor carpet track. I am running a hot bodies cyclone with spektrum and GTX, rubber tires.

first off, for stock 27T motors, which ones are the most popular? My understanding is that there are companies that make the motor and then there are tuners that tune the motor and sell them out. So which tuner is good? and which motor is good? Currently I am running the monster stock from DC.

Same question for the 19T motor. Which motor is good and which tuner is good? what about for brushes and springs?

As for motor temperature, at what temperature is ideal for the motor to be at after a run?

Then for batteries, I am leaning towards the IB3800 or even the IB4200. They seem to have some impressive numbers. Now for matchers, SMC seems to be very popular. However, are there any big difference between batteries matched by SMC with batteries matched by with say......TeamBrood?

I am pretty confused about which parts to get and hope someone can give me some suggestions. I know RC racing has a BIG part to do with skills and not just buying the best of everything, but I want to make sure my gears are comparable and competitive with the competition out there.

Thanks and Merry x'mas!!
