I see one can get a cyclone S pretty cheap. Not sure if that's a dead chassis or not.

Traxxas has some clever engineers, I'm definitely not going to hate if they can come up with something that's a legit drifter rather than use a current chassis and throw a body on it that has something to do with the full scale drift/gymkhana culture.

Whatever happened to the Losi Drift R?

Yup and r2h came out with a carbon front motor. 334. I rather wait for my d3 at 125. Beautiful team magic chassis though I must admit.

I run a tc3 with 1.20cs and sj ota at 1.49. Honestly the tc3 dances a better dance. Its just too smooth. I hope the D3 can outshine my 15 yr old tc3

That d3 steering lock is pretty bad. Hopefully they have an optional part to open that up a good bit.

Agreed. it looks terrible. Maybe after taking out all the ackermman they show in the video, the outside wheel might parallel the inside but yes looks disappointing.

Holy shit that's a beautiful chassis! I like Team Magic and used to race a G4+ Evo. How much will it be though? I already think the current (old?) E4 is a bit overpriced.

I find the 6th pic down interesting. I wonder if the 3belt setup (like the VDF2) makes changing CS ratios alot easier.

Default caster angle question

ONE drift thread? come on mods, this thread is 133 pages long...think drifting might have earned its own forum?..crawling got one... anyway, i was wondering, what are the advantages of a higher caster angle (6 degrees and above) as opposed to a lower caster angle (5 degrees and below) on a drift setup? also, would the affect make a significant difference on a countersteer setup as opposed to 50/50? by the way, i love crawling...thanks for the forum, mods.

I think it'll go for over $400. Everything about it screams expensive. Is that red accents in the CF I see or is it just reflecting off the bulkheads?

that is actual accents. I decided I'm going team magic. I think this is actually just a kit which is sweet.

Going to give the sakura a shot ive only over drifted 50/50 ratio
I want to try the countersteer. People are saying that the alloy steering assembly provides mores lock but im not entirely sure so dont qoute me on that one.
Will a hobbywing sensorless system be ok for the d3 just untill i pick up a novak system
Thanks

should be fine, but a sensored system is preferred for obvious reasons.
