What do you guys use to film your cars so easily? I was watching some of driftmission's videos and he said he uses a swiffer with a camera attached to it.

I was thinking of getting one of these camera stabilizers (Opteka X-grip EX MK III) Eh, site won't let me post links yet since I'm a new member. :P

Mount of DSLR on it and bring it really close to the cars that drive by on the track? Is there another method of following cars around though?

the opteka x-grip works great if you have a somewhat heavier camera. I use a canon 60d dslr with the x-grip and it works great. Also I have mounted a go pro on the car itself and that gets some cool angles. You can have a follow car that chases with the gopro or similar camera

How's the actual stabilization? I'm thinking of using my T2i and a 28-135 IS USM lens on it.

Yep. I had nothing to do and was near a hobby shop so I stopped in to see what they had in stock. Still need to pick up adjustable shocks and softer springs. What you don't see in the pic is I also picked up a ae86 body for the car.

Anyone drifting within a couple hours of Indianapolis, IN. No indoor places around here. I am willing to drive a couple hours if it's a good setup. Thanks.

I have a few guys coming this Saturday here at Eclipse Hobbies and Raceway in Bradley, IL . It takes about 3 hours to get to here from Indy. We would love to have nice big group of drifters here again. If everyone here is game we can put together a more permanent schedule. We are in the process of moving our On Road racing day to sunday which leaves the track open for Drifting all day on saturdays. We are open 11am til 11pm or later. We Race off road on Friday. Let me know what you guys think.

Here is a video clip from last time
