I was reading through some of the older posts on this thread and a lot of people seem to be asking about others set-ups...so here's mine Its basically all stock with the exception of the wheels and shock towers(carbon). It's toed out maybe 5-10 degrees and it has a lot of camber front and rear. It sits very low to the ground but still allows for shock movement without scraping. It is shaft drive and it is a 50/50 set-up. here are a few pics...

I have several Losi XXX-S cars. I'm looking at making one info a drift car. Need suggestions on set ups and what bodies people have used. I know Losi had a RTR Drift car, but I want to do something a little different. What type of power system would be good to power it. I think I have a set of drift tires with the metal rings. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Not much i can tell you about the car you have but as far as power you really dont want anything more than a 22t or 19t. Any more than that and you will have a hard time controlling your drifts.

Tell some of the common power systems that are used so I'll have an idea of what to get.
Thanks

I found someone on the For Sale Forum that has some Novak GTX secs for sale. Looks like that would be a good fit with the motors you suggested. Thanks again

Question... how does a front 1 way diff help you drift better? what are the advantages? threats?

What would be the problems *if any at all" of using the 1 way while driving it as a touring car (not drifting)?

THANKS!!

THANKS!!
A one way diff gives you better turn in but means your rears are more prone to locking when you hit the brakes as the front wheels just free wheel. Great for initiating a drift but less helpful if you're trying to slow in a straight line

Alright guys...since this thread is super long and i'm not going to read thru all of it...can u guys just answer a few "drift" questions for me...

what makes a drift car "drift"?...gobs of power?...cos my revo has gob and gobs of power...and i know it will NEVER drift...not like in those youtube videos...and my dm1-e...i don't see that thing drifting either...

i understand a little bit about drifting...in that u want chaos with control...but...with that being said...how do u brake and throttle at the same time on an electric car???....it just amazes me the physics and the dynamics behind this whole drifting thing...can one of u experts explain this phenom to me?
