if I lock the back diff on my sprint to flux does this prevent it from being a good race car anymore??

After seeing the drift competition at RCX this year I've got the bug to get drifting again. This time I have a chassis I can dedicate to a drift setup and not have to worry about swapping it back and forth.
Just started the other day with an XRay FK'05 chassis, RS and 10.5 motor (can always add boost if I need more punch) Tekin 3400 2S Lipo, HPI 200mm Evo X, 26mm HPI Volk TE37's +6mm in flat black, HPI T-Drift Dunlop Direzza's, HPI Tuner Kit, HPI GT Wing. Figured I would start with the drift tires and work from there. The car is 50/50 right now, locked rear diff and I still need to put the one-way in the front. It drifts pretty good on our carpet track but I will definitely be playing with some setup and really dial it in. For now I'm just taking in the info from the forum and looking at pics of other's rides! I'll post pictures of mine once my interior and roll cage show up and I get the headlights done and installed.

But during braking, the front one-way lets the wheels spin forward. Your wheels will not move backwards during reverse thus the name 'front one-way'.
Put the FOW and the direct coupling or spool in the back.
Which car are you running?

Not only during off throttle, but when the rear wheels spin faster than the front wheels with oneway on, the car momentarily becomes 2wd, since the front wheels will just be freewheeling. Remember that the front wheels can spin faster than what the drivetrain is pushing. Makes the drivetrain freer than a diff upfront.

So I'm considering buying this : http://broadtechonlineshop.com/eagle...aspx?id=3860V2
and then whatever pieces I'd need to finish it, rather than buying a ta05 and upgrading parts. This way I don't wind up paying for half a car that's just going to be tossed after the upgrade... does anyone know of an existing parts list for this sorta thing?

Here's my EVO X. Carbon hood, roof and trunk are on the way, along with the interior and roll cage. It's got a few little scuffs from rubbing the walls on the track here and there. It drifts really nicely on carpet! Still a work in progress, will update more.

They work the same moving forward - locked diff.

Ah. Tnx for that info. But in drifting? What do you prefer? My kit is Tamiya Ta05 ver 2.
