The car is pretty rear heavy, so I would start with balancing the car 50/50 weight distribution. Front one way and rear solid axle are a must.

my TT01 - is old but sweet to drift on carpet, i prefer the older Eagle chassis (rear motor) over the newer front engine mount one. Switched back to this after running Serpent S411 as drift.

what type of motor and esc combos is everyone using?

Im looking for a sensored system that wont cost more than the setup im using :S

look at hobbywing products or speedpassion stuff which are good combos for a good price!

im running a non sensored 5 turn setup in one and a non sensored 9 turn in another. Both have 60a esc and run great
cheapest way to go

as for the non sensored setup have you experienced any cogging during low revs?

5turn - 58tooth spur and 30 pinion
9 turn - 55 tooth spur and 30 pinion

have never experienced cogging with either.

calling around local shops in my region and they suggest the Duratrax DE10 and any sensored motor or the Duratrax/castle element combo...any reviews on these?

ezerun 5turn bought of ebay
60amp esc bought from local hobbyking store (before it closed down) but you can get them off their website, think there about $40

9 Turn brushless system Leopard with 60amp esc + program card, off ebay from local seller, think it cost about 100 - 120

just remembered one of the other guys who drifts a vdf (carpet) is using a 13turn hobbywing set up, exactly the same as they use for mini class racing down here
