At norcal hobbies in Union City, CA. Just started about a month ago, maybe some of you are nearby and we can practice together?

STUPID QUESTION. I HAVE ALWAYS HEARD AND HAVE BEEN TOLD IF U WANT TO GET IN TO DRIFTING U NEED A ONE WAY IN THE FRONT, OK? WELL THE DIFFERENCE IN A ONE WAY IS THAT IT HAS A ONE WAY BEARING IN IT RIGHT? SO WHAT WOULD BE THE DIFFERENCE IN DRIFT PERFORMANCE IF I PUT A SOLID DIF INSTEAD OF A ONE WAY? AREN'T THEY KINDA THE SAME?

A one way is the same as a locked diff under acceleration, but the front wheels free spin when you decelerate, effectively causing just the rear wheels to do the braking. This allows the rear to rotate and the front to turn (instead of push straight ahead).

There are several upgrades worth exploring.

-1 Way http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/88037/
-Locked Spool http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/88057/
-Bearings http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/B039/
-Universals http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/88060/
-Drive Shaft http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/88017/

If nothing else, try the drive-shaft. It will make for smoother acceleration and less vibration.

<--Vallejo 707 here. The drift portion of the RC Tech forums dont seem to be very busy. I'm a member of Drifter Central and some other one's which I forgot (because of how dead it seemed at the time) Back then I got alot of my info from CS Junkies as well.

Anyways, almost a full year later here I am again and finally have something to show for it:

Originally I was building up an old TA03F Pro, but the lack of some vital parts brought that to a stop so I decided to splurge on a gold VDF. The car was actually drivable 2 weeks after I got it but I lost motivation and just left it there on the workbench for half a year. Now gotta get that practice in...

Here is my newest chassis. It started out as a Tamiya TA05 V2, then I added the Eagle Racing GRT conversion, along with a bunch of upgraded parts!

I just added a Flux system that I had laying around.

you can order the chassis direct from eagle racing shop, have bought 3 chassis and a stack of parts from them (shipped to Australia) and have no problems or issues
