thx, I will - if I have the chance to participate... my wife arranged my son's 13yrs birthday party the same day so it's still a bit unclear if I could go for the day time.
yesterday I won C main (electric style mains, no bumping) 30 mins in nitro buggy with my JQ we fun racing indeed

I was reading through this thread... I'm a real sucker for front-engine RWD drift chassis. I want a MST FXX D (with IFS). How bad is it really? Can it be tamed? I've read conflicting things about the IFS system.

I don't plan on going to competitions, I don't have a regular drift club anymore, and I used to drift a very stock Sprint 2. I've also fallen in love with the handling of my XV01 on regular grip tires and dusty parking garages.

thanks Skeet, been very busy this week hence the late response, sorry!
Been planning to get the MST rtr for my son who's very good with the Fazer awd as I'm not.
Yesterday got the chance to have Sakura track time for several hours.
Pretty pleasant to drive. Did a lot of tuning and installed the full oxygen conversion with more caster than the stock 10deg.
Quite satisfied but struggled with long drifts, could not sustain all the way in longest curves. Maybe it was the carpet, too.
Need to work more but in overall I give it 9/10.

Sweet rides MrLesac. I really like your garage. Lots of scale realism, it really makes the photos look great.

My sentiments exactly! I'm planning on building an FXX with a FD body.

This is one of my Sakura D4 before i sold her with the new slide track steering...

She was running real sweet with the modded front suspension, but had to dispose of her and concentrate on an older chassis. I will build another soon.

this is my current project, almost done, an old HB TC-FD chassis which i stripped of all the barney color and heavily moded the front steering and suspension...

the modded steering using a D4 alloy steering system...

This is the HPI S2000 shell i am currently using on her...

Wow those are some sick chassis Vlozity. I wish i had the time to dedicate more. Hopefully winter will keep me indoors and I'll build a dedicated drifter.

For those of y'all with a D4,... what offset wheels are you running?

I've just read a bit about wanting the gearing to be more toward top end speed with a larger pinion gear. I've having trouble getting my AuperD to actually drift. Just spins out. I have a 21p in there now but have ordered a set of larger ones to test...

Hopefully y'all can steer me in the right direction...

So I bought a set of YeahRacing rims and tires to beat around in a local school yard. Im actually pretty impressed with their handling on asphalt. I mean for a $15 set lol

My drift cars are all 4wd. I have wondered, on 2wd, why not put grip tires in the front?
