We have a chance to use a great gym for some TC racing. Only problem is the floor when swept, is still very slippery. Driffting is fun, but that's not what we're trying to do here.

Has anyone ever run on a rubberized gym floor and figured out how to get it to work?

As weird as this may sound Schumacher mini pins are really good indoor on polished concrete and wood floors; so I would give them a try.

Wow I was going to say that. We use to run on a surface like this many years ago with 2wd dirt oval cars and we used Schumacher mini pin tires. They worked better than anything else we tried and don't do anything to the floor.

We used to run old treaded pattern tires without any inserts in them. Again wierd but it worked.

You guys are great, thanks for all the good advice. I think between this thread and the other one my friend started, we have 4-5 different combinations to go back and try out.

Hopefully one of these combinations work, we're going nuts not having a TC track in our area.

Alot of the venues in Scotland run on slippy floor, either polished wood, the green plastic gym type flooring or where i race its more like linolium. Schumacher yellow mini pins work really well on all of these surfaces, 21mm all round with foam inserts if your wanting the most grip/performance but they do wear out quite quickly. Wear rate really depends on the track surface, someplaces its 2/3 weeks (our venue) others its 6 weeks plus. At our club we all use the 25mm yellows now as a control tyre as they arent that much slower overall and they last for up to 8 weeks depending on how heavy your thumb/finger is. Hope that helps
