Questions?? New engine and ESC to Tamiya TT-01E

Hi all,
I'm new to On-Road models.
I've just came back from a vacation abroad with Tamiya TT-01E kit (VW Scirocco model).
I've bought the blue aluminium drive shaft & ball bears for upgrade.

I want to convert the kit straight-forward to Lipo set, was thinking about the
HOBBYWING Quicrun 10.5T 3650SD Brushless Motor 10BL60A ESC SPE Controller, what do you think about it? I plan to drive it with 2S LIPO, I think 3S might be too much for it.
Also, which servo should I equipped it with?

In the future will consider to purchase one of the Yeah Racing aluminium kit upgrades for it (the red seems to be pretty!!) and will hook it up with some unique body of a real VW Golf MK7 R32 look!

Thanks in advance.

Is this for racing or just play?
How about this one? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...bo_13_5T_.html

IMHO the best cheap servo:

@Funked1, thanks for your reply!
This RC is for fun play!
What are the main diffs (besides the price) for the system you recommended against the one I've was thinking about?

And get some 500,000 cst oil for the front diff. This will help you minimize power oversteer with that much power.

10.5 gives you a little more power than 13.5. But the Hobbyking stuff is ROAR approved in case you want to go racing. And for that chassis, 13.5 is going to be PLENTY of power unless you mod the car a lot. Hobbywing has a better reputation for quality, but in my experience both brands have been reliable. The Hobbywing does come with a programming box which will cost your $10 extra if you get the Hobbyking stuff.

Dear Funked1, sorry for my delayed reply.
Does upgrading the Tamiya TT-01E with the Yeah Racing red\blue aluminium counted as moding a lot of the car?
Because I do plan to do so in the next year.

Thanks!

That kit would help, definitely. I have some of those parts on my TT02.

Funked1, what I meant was, should I continue with your recommendation for ESC & motor or with mine once when I'm definitely going to upgrade the car kit chassis?

Either ESC/motor combo will be fine. It will be overpowered but it will be fun. I think using 500k oil in the front diff will be enough to make it drivable.

Which oil do you recommend for the back diff?

For the rear, just use the grease that comes with the kit, as per the instruction manual.

If I understand correctly, a setup for On-Road with 2 differentials, while the back comes with Grease only and the front with 500K oil is for Drift purpose, isn't it?
I'm going to use it for touring mostly and on-road racing, does setup is good for it as well?

Thanks!

It will work great for touring / racing.
Check out this site: http://www.thercracer.com/2014/08/ta...-and-tips.html
This info is for a TT02, but TT01 is very similar.
