Awesome man, you're a hero! Did you end up testing 8S with Current limit disabled? If so, could you post some logs of that? Curious to see what's going on in some high-speed set-ups.
Thanks man!

Never tried disabling current limiting. I usually just leave it close to the limit.
You can't even disable it with the XL2.

I tested my XLX on 8S (total of 8 Ah, Turnigy Heavy Duty) in the 10kg 1/5th Vader buggy, geared for ~66mph no-load off-road use. With the Current limit still set to 220A, I got Current peaks of up to ~250A, with less than 1.1V ripple.

Sorry for the late reply, that's tc4basher/Bay Area fast rc hitting 160mph but yes I did get a chance to run the XLX with the current limiting off and it made absolutely NO difference at all, still feels like hash half throttle or less on the XL2

I don't have any current limiting tab, on advance tab or anywhere else, just arming time, auxiliary wire, link live and throttle dead band I do have a torque limit, though, and it's disabled.

Patrick from Castle has made an official response here.

http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...d=1#post430960

"Just a heads-up for you guys. We did find an issue with current limiting on both the MMX and XLX. It has been fixed, and is currently in internal testing. Should be in Beta by the end of the week. This software update should solve the power restriction issue you are seeing. Thanks!"

That is awesome news from Castle. Now I can keep my XLX! Can't wait to see Dr. T's updates after they release the updates.

Hell yea that's awesome news, if in fact they actually unleash all of its potential! I'm not gonna get my hopes up until I test it out!

Yeah I'm with you. I'll believe it when I see it. Hopefully I can dust off my XLX soon to test.

I would not have wasted $225+ on this piece of crap if they specified that anywhere in the specs.

Anyone interested in a slightly used one for $120 shipped, hit me up.
