Do you leave the right side of each tire unsauced?

I would imagine the fan showing in the background may have lent itself to drying that side of tire quicker. I'm sure it was blowing full blast yesterday.

Has anyone tried the U4934 Split block straps? What's the effect on the car?

Also, has anyone messed with the thicker top decks yet?

I run them on my Mi6 last season with the aluminium Chassis on CRC black carpet. Numbed the twitchiness of the car on the black carpet. I haven't tried them on the Evo yet for now we are running outdoor and for that they aren't needed on our pave track.

The car's been dialed for outdoors nearly out of the box, just looking for info as we get closer to indoors. Thanks for the info! Cheers!

We run CRC gray here locally for now, but I know most are switching to the black. what's your impression of the car on the CRC black? I've heard many stories of the spongy feel of the new carpet....

Our club sets up and tears down in a hanger. To get the black carpet to lay flat we have to gently stretch it. After about three or four months of stretching it spongy feeling went away. The black carpet was thicker at first then our grey stuff was, but now the black is thinner then our grey was. We cut our rolls to 80ft after a season they are 83 or 84ft long.

The Mi6 was awesome on the rug, its fast strong and stable. I cant wait to try my evo out.

What's the opinion on the Alloy "flex" chassis? Anyone given this a try on carpet yet?

Heading down to a carpet race in a couple weeks, and thinking of trying it.

I have ran the car with the stock chassis on black carpet and it runs very nice , i have a pretty good set up to get you started , but i think if im not mistaken Aja Archibald has the aluminum chassis and also qcrc, maybe send them a pm.

here is my black crc carpet set up

Schumacher MI6 Evo - Marcos Jennings - 386 Raceway - 28.05.2017

yokomo pink and blue springs seems to be the good combination for carpet

Yes I have them on both USGT and TC cars.
I will post my most recent setup tonight when I get home.
As the tractions come up the Full Alloy chassis kind of work great, but I like the flex as it was .5 sec a lap faster. The corner speed is that much better with the flex chassis.
I am not saying it because it the newest and greatest. It really that much better.
Ill post both setup tonight again on new black carpet.
