Thanks
Yes there will be but I don't know what it is going to be. I will see if I can get confirmation on that for you.

It really isn't a higher discharge rate. These cells can be charged so that their voltage is now rated at 4.35v per cell whereas we have been using 4.2v per cell for a while now.

I will get clarification on the ruling today if everything goes as planned.

The High Voltage cells, such as the ones offered by Team Orion and Reedy (examples) will be legal to use.

Dont buy into the hype bill. They are no better than the normal cells we have been using for years. They are just safe to charge to 4.35V per cell which is irrelevant since we dont race at that voltage!

Just an honest question for you though, as you know more than me. Would that possibly make them for "puffing" a little less often, if you still charge them to the normal voltage of 4.2?

I've found puffing generally happens from heat. Leave em in the back of your car on a 100 degree day....ugh.

They claim they are more robust. But I've seen the hv packs puff too. Like, others said it's generally from heat or,leaving them charged too much and sitting.

Thank you for confirming Kraig. Any chance that Scotty would allow Tamiya P/N 54526 rim set ? They are the white version of P/N 51378. The black wheels will clash with my blue and white Mild Seven paint scheme.
