Pinion Gears Update
Getting 26-28 tooth pinions has always been a dilemna - will other brands of 48 pitch mesh or not.
I have been talking in private with oME, and we have found 2 Tamiya Part Numbers.
26 Tooth - Tamiya PN = 3505054
This is a spare part for a DF-03
27 Tooth - Tamiya PN = 49230
This is a spare part for a TA04R. It's described as 0.6 mod rather than AV.
The Manual list AV pinions as hop ups.
So we assume it meshes, if anyone has either car and confirm, it would be invaluable.

The 26T #3505054 is not the right pinion, I ordered in a couple weeks ago and it came in with a real fine pitch. I haven't ordered the 27T but that one sounds right.
I found this site and ordered these pinions, they have lots of 0.6 pitch pinions:

TT-01 motor mounting
Looking for info on mounting an after market (non Tamiya) motor. The stock cans have one set of mount holes that are aligned with the shaft, many other brands have 2 sets of holes that are offset on either side of the shaft. I have tried all combinations of mounting but can't seem to get a good, or even close mesh. I am having trouble finding a performance 23T motor with the single set configuration. Any thoughts or ideas.

It has been a few weeks but I think I tried all combos. I will try again tonight maybe I just missed it. If I understand it right, I always want my pinon centered in the motor mount and this is accomplished by using the chart and using positions A-D for different spur and pinions. The problem I have is with the offset holes I can't find a place where the pinion is centered. I have several different brand motors and have tried them all. I am new to the TT-01 so it is possible I am missing something obvious.

I don't think that any of the positions center the pinion in the motor mount. Each set of holes (A to D) moves the motor and pinion further away from the spur. The aim is to get the pinion and spur to mesh correctly, if it's in the center of the mount is unimportant.
I think that you will find that dead center is a position somewhere between B and C.

TT-01 drifter with MM5700 and ABS drift tires
This set up drifts really well! I was quite impressed with it at first go. With the ABS tires, the MM really did perform up to expectations, loads of power and speed with the ABS tires gripping just nice! Using 61T spur and 19T pinion.

Can you be more specific? What doesn't fit, which pinion in which hole with what spur? Tamiya gears are very clearly 0.6 pitch; so I'm curious what isn't fitting.
My MCM Racing pinions haven't come in yet but when they do I will post a full report with links to settle this issue on using the full range of gears that would be legal for TCS races.

Full Range of TT-01 Pinions
I’ve been practicing running the TT-01 for the GT-3 class at Tamiya’s TCS races; GT-3 requires a tub chassis and the kit type silver can motor. The TA05 is considered the premier GT-3 chassis, however I’m finding that the TT-01 is proving to be a surprisingly inexpensive and capable alternative. My goal is to compete at a high level in GT-3 with the cheapest sedan Tamiya makes, the Enzo TT-01.

I’m running the stock friction shocks, fixed camber/toe links, plastic drive shaft, stock steering links, stock dogbones, and stock esc; the only upgrades are bearings and the faster spur/pinion sets.
I’m finding that the silver can motor just doesn’t put out enough power/speed to make the subtle issues of minor toe/camber adjustments significant. The TT-01’s only real significant drawback is that the standard gearing options doesn’t allow the silver can to get into it’s sweet spot. The lowest final drive ratio of 5.7 is as low as standard Tamiya parts let you get, but the silver can sweet spot on most tracks is in the low 5’s; and while some people have adapted the motor mount to be more flexible, such changes are not legal in TCS racing.
The rules do allow for any manufactures pinion, but the Tamiya spurs are a non-industry standard metric pitch of 0.6. The TT-01 can use pinions from 19T to 28T but the largest 0.6 pitch Tamiya makes is 25T (Their 27T is discontinued and hard to find). It has been hard to find larger 0.6T pinions; several brands have been listed, but actually buying one is next to impossible.
I want to share that I found a site that has them in stock and shipped from online in about a week. I just put these in my car and they mesh perfectly. I highly recommend the following:

There is a 52T spur that Tamiya makes and if the same pattern is followed perhaps the 28T and 29T pinions may fit getting drive ratios in the 4.8 and 4.66 range. I have and have tested the setups listed in the attached graphic below; I do not have and have not tested the 52T spur option.
