A little help on TCS rules....


Any tire insert means and Tamiya insert or can I use an HPI insert?

Yes but you need to hop-up the cup to aluminium as well.(TT01R).

ahbock, the one-way cups for the universal shafts is from the TB01 part# 53590 as listed on Tamiya's website. You have to click on the TT01 one-way diff and in the description, it tells you to use this part number.

IMO, race steering set is the way to go but it's expensive.. 30$+ at tower..

Some shims will take a fair amount of play out of the steering, a selection of 4mm and 3mm ID shims are needed (I have Yokomo and Kyosho shims in the pitbox), but don't shim the horizontal link between the servo and the bellcranks as that needs to move back and forth.

does any1 no if i can put a novak 3.5 turn brushless motor with matching esc into a tt01 without any hassles? if there are problems what should i replace to help make it suitable? thanks

The only hassle will be that you will probably tear the transmission to shreds in a few packs!

I don't think the drivetrain is design to handle such power.

good day i was just wondering, what's the most practical way to setup a tt-01 for rally???

I know for one that i'll be needing the rally block tires, after the tires what's next??? how do i increase the ride height suspension etc???

is there any particular tamiya model that i can swap parts from??? thanks in advance!!!
