Yeah, but the only problem with that is, nitro has the samesame thing going on with a new motors that are faster and hotter than the preivious one. For example: the werks/ collari, then the megapicco, and the new o.s. I know cause I use to run nitro.

oww man :( :weird:    :weird:

i should of just gotten lipo's

this is insane, most rctech readers would be considered the "early adopters" of products yet we still can't keep up! i feel sorry for the newbs buying 2400's and thinking they are the bee's knees :sneaky:  :(

Bob Barry 12-07-2005 06:36 AM

This is making me want to run off road again. you can still be competitive with those 2400's in the dirt. oh well

Aw, come on, all the engines you listed can't hold a candle to a 2 year old Novarossi NS12S3.

Look at it this way. A Nitro TC has a useful lifespan of approx.3 years, that's the rythm in which the major companies release new cars. Not every 6-8 month like Tamiya and XRay.

Foam tires have been the same since I started running nitro in 1999 and they only got cheaper.

Now compare that to what you have to do to stay up to date in electric TC..... :sneaky:

This is where the ROAR rule of submitting cells once a year makes sense. Anyone who is trying to be compeditive buys new cells every year anyways.
