kid TT-01, the only valauble advice you'll get from this thread is two fold:

1) use the search function

2) any batteries matched from a reputable matcher

Currently the IB cells have a slight edge on capacity, and they exhibit much lower internal resistance. That translates to "Punch" felt on the track. Furthermore, they have higher average voltage which provides increased RPM.

They perform better in my experience. But it only takes one crash to spoil the returns of the increased performance. If you are fairly new to racing, you are just as well off getting the GP. Also, the GP cells have proven themselves over the years to be very resiliant packs. Not sure if IB has been around long enough for anybody to really determine how robust they are, as in how long they last and what not. I am sure they will hold up just fine with proper treatment. Even GP's will spoil if treated improperly.

I know my 3300's, some went two years and still perform great for a 3300...

Actually Br00d's 3700 cells were matched by Fusion.....SMC doesnt do GP cells.

I dont have a battery sponsor so I can say I would contact Hurricane, Surge, or EA. Anyway you slice it IB3800 with 1.2's are awesome. Worth getting the plate for. Ray

Hi, I would imagine this question has been asked quite a few times, I am new at this on road racing, I got into it pretty heavy and I like it, I am running a TC4 with stock motor ike the class. I am now building an x-ray. Question is. I have bought a lot of equipment and would like to know what are some of the ways to charge, and discharge, what rate you charge at and what rate you discharge at, I watch the guys at the track don't wanna make a pest of myself and ask 1000 questions so if somebody was to give me a formula or guidelines I would write them down and followed them. I really would appreciate help in this area. Thank you

This thread is funny, yes there is brand loyalty but if everyone tells you that they have the best batteries and the rest aren't as good....

I would suggest that you visit your local hobby shop and talk to the racers at your local track. No-one makes IB3800's but Intellect Battery and if there is one big matcher matching batteries for X number of battery companies out there, I would guess that they are at least all the same....And yes they are all good!

The IB 3800 is the battery of choice right now and you will not go wrong buying from a reputable matcher.

the only way to get good cells at a good price WITH local support is to buy off one of our local matchers such as Harris R/C or Feral cells.

I'm pretty sure they are both available Australia wide, and I know that Harris has some excellent 3700's - not sure if Feral do 3700's.

Either way, our locals guys are doing such a good job that there is no need to go o/s for cells anymore

This is question to all of you how drive excample 19t class.

I drive 17t class and don`t know yet what batteries to use next season. I`m thinking to buy some of those SMC ib3600 cells... what you think about them? Or maybe GP3700 cells? Wich one is better?

Punch is more important than runtime. This class drive 5 min heats with rubbertires.
