Xray in the past did make a solid spool only but I'm pretty sure it's discontinued. Now the only option is the multidiff which gives you all three possible spool/one-way options. The only disadvantage to the Multidiff when running in spool mode is the extra weight. Because of the one way bearings and larger housing, a solid spool only would be lighter. I noticed for this reason, the Xray team drivers run the solid spool and not the multidiff.

its not to save static weight, but rotating weight. Less rotating weight = faster acceleration. if you took 20grams of static weight off the car ( titanium screws, actual weights, or anything else to shave non moving weight ) you would see minimal gains on the track, but shaving 20 grams off the transmission in some way you would most definatly see on the track everytime you pull the trigger.

I just got my T2 and will be running 19T on a fairly large track. Our straight is about 150ft and the infield somewhat tight. Not being familiar with the T2 100%, I was wondering where I should start with gearing? I will be running a Komodo 19T. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the response, but unfortuneately, I have not run a c2, so still not sure where to start? Looking for a final drive ratio if possible. I heard that I should start around a 7.6, but wanted to get some more input. Thanks.

Default Anyone know if Xray will come out

with a new battery side aluminum bulkhead? One that will fit a Lipo.

sure-pus off the stuff that really pays the bills lol btw-would you rather be blown or injected HA!!

Hey all-I noticed on the set-up sheets that people generally run (Carpet/foams) either mid roll front to back, or if they go with slammed front roll, they always use high rear roll.

Heres the question...Is this a case of "high bite" or is something to do with running the front rc slammed?

Thanks,
Ray

Ray,

Front down-rear mid or up changes the "Roll Axis" which makes the car turn more. If the track has very low bite you may not be able to raise the rear as much.

From what I've observed running foams on carpet (medium grip club level track), the T2's chassis setup seems to allow the rear end to be very forgiving with a maximum steering setup. I'm not sure about the top drivers, but I found that running the front arms in the low roll center position and the rear arms in a high roll center position allowed the car to hold a very tight line mid corner at higher cornering speeds. This setup also helped to free up the rear end for better rotation coming out of the corners on-power. I believe this doesn't work as well at extremely high grip events though.

Cool, I saw the one Marcos has and it's a work of art.
