Default Kingpins

Has anyone had problems with the kingpins in the bottom of the front steering knuckles falling out? I'm sick of losing kingpins and/or flanged tubes cause the hole keeps getting stripped or they vibrate loose. I've replaced the front knuckles twice already but i keep losing kingpins!
I tried an aluminium front knuckle but then the thread of the kingpin at the top snapped off and now i cant get it out.

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Use some threadlock(sparingly) - I'd say, use blue.

Or try plumbers tape(Teflon tape) to just snug up the threads. MIGHT work...

My friend's CGM loses kingpins all the time. The threadlock worked well. But don't go overboard or it'll be in there forever.

Is this the KINGPIN you're talking about or the bottom, outer HINGEPIN? If it's the bottom outer hingepin, ditch the stock threaded ones and get the stainless hingepin kit from tamiya. It uses a setscrew to hold it in place rather than the small threaded part on the pin. I replaced mine in my EVO IV and totally eliminated the problem. Just make sure you grind a small flat spot onto the pin with a dremel so the setscrew has a larger surface area to grab onto.
