after a full day of practice yesterday the car still feel awesome !

my laptime is a little bit faster than my fiend with a MTS FF

I switch Yokomo shock for xray 2016

I run xray 2.5 front and 2.3 rear I ordered xray 2.9 and pregressive version ( 2.5 2.8 - 2.3 2.6 ) for testing

and the frame is not so stiff as well I screw the steering brace to top deck for add stiffness

the car is reatively fast I push the back of my friend with awesomatix A800 AH with the FF both 21.5

the car is very stable and flow very well

weight with celica body = 1212gr ( with yokomo spool )

Ova, maybe ask on the main Yokomo thread what the differences in '14 and '15 bulkheads were. I know that the '15 has the 'X' brace which connects the left and right bulkhead, but aside from that, I thought they were the same...maybe not!

At least the way the shocktowers are mounted on the bulkheads is different between the '14 and the '15.

Ah, good point, but the conversion just uses the lower portion of the bulkhead - well, at the front anyway, so you would certainly need the '15 bulkheads for the rear as the conversion comes with a rear shock tower.

Me and my friends we talk a lot about battery. We race in the usgt class and we have a lot of question about the weight vs. battery power . For now we have shorty pack from fantom 3900 100c 150g. The battery is good but fade quick, after 2-3 min of run time the car feel more soft less punch and lap time drop alot. I ordered another shorty pack from hobbyking 4600 mah graphene battery for test if this shorty keep the power longer or not. If the result is negativ I will probably test LCG pack from fantom racing 2mm lower than std pack and 31g less weight than reg pack with the same mah ( 6000mah )

Quinny, I'd expect the 3900mah battery to fade after that kind of time, the 4600mah should be much better. I run the Nanotech Ultimate 4600mah and find it fine. Reedy has a new 5200mah out in shorty form, and there is a TC car (Gizmo) based around the use of shorty cells. The Gizmo has been competitive at the ETS (blinky class), so shorty technology is pretty much at that point where they can be used with little disadvantage in power. Good luck with the tests.

I do some test yesterday with my friend Pat shorty turnigy graphene 4600 shorty vs orca 6200 std pack. I run the sorty in my spice and pat run his orca in MTS FF same FDR and we do the same lap time ! at the end he was faster than me ! the difference between these two battery at the start is very small ! this is why i dont know if the lightweight has really a advantage vs bigger gaz thank ! next test = 21,5 & 13.5 with IP 7800 100c battery !
