I was under the impression that all paid factory drivers were not going to run 19T. I would like to know why Matt did run 19T ?

I think pro drivers that are paid by manufacturers should stay out of the lower classes.

Congrats to Paul Lemieux on his mod TQ with his new Xray ride and Trinity teardown wound and tuned by Jim Dieter of Truespeed.

Great job by Josh Cyrul putting his one week old Kyosho prototype into 5th place on the mod grid.

Congrats to Eli for being the king of both masters class.

Good Luck to everyone and hope you guys have nice clean mains.

i thought matt was retired? that should make him a free agent right? besides, have a world level driver in "lower" classes would only "up" these guys game a little. (LOT). i would love to have signed up for a lower class only to have the luxaury (spelling) of having multi-time...multi-chassis world champion in my heat! think of what you could learn from him in a 5 minute heat.
hodapp...share the wealth bud....what kind of horsepower are you representing and will you be used to it by the snowbirds?

I think the reason is obvious.......80 percent of the track is sponsored. For example...why is Associated's team manager and obviously makes his living at R/C (and almost won the Reedy race)....running "STOCK"........
Its about track time and something to do. If Matt Francis did not run....19T....he would have only raced one class (putting him at a disadvantage)......
Also......I would just about bet "EVERYONE" in that 19T main is sponsored. I am sure you know a few of them...dont you Danny

When you see Terry Rott who beat Joel at the US Indoors running stock.....I do not think "any agreement"....basically makes sense

If you guys want to clean up stock....and 19T......in my opinion....everyone needs to stop sponsoring 90% of the claases....

Ernie- That is the pot calling the kettle black isn't it????? How many of the "SPORTSMAN 19T" at Snowbirds were FULL RIDES???

Its sad when it takes longer for driver intros. in Stk. and 19t than it does for Mod.....

I blame the companies for not "PUSHING" drivers to move up once they have won a few MAJOR races!

I dont really think it is....we have the "smallest team" sponsorsed in stock....and I was not singling anyone out....Danny asked me a question about "my driver" and I gave my opinion....
I understand the gesture and thinking behind the idea but I dont understand why a salary guy cant be in those classes......but people who get all their stuff for free and have talent should be allowed in those classes as well

BTW...Paul Lemieux is flying....in the last heat his touring car looked like a 1/12th car....he was awesome
