hi all:i was reading the race results of the iic in an rc mag and saw that stephen sabottka was using a touring car i've not heard of cansomeone tell me what it was?thanks ;)

He and his dad and in cooperation (for the prototype chassis anyways) with BMI created there own car. It uses a TC3/4 drivetrain and steering rack, but is 100% Sobottka after that. Custom short arms out of a proprietary plastic (nylon??), inner hingepin mounts, etc. are all machined by Stephens dad.

Its a trick car and at the Halloween Classic, his dad said it wasnt long before they would be available for sale.

I never did get a chance to see Bottka's car in Vegas. If you read this Steve, send me some pics of that thing. I'd like a look. One question about rules though. If you were to go to a ROAR race with that car and run in the stock calss, the rules state that you can't run anything in stock that's not available for sale to everyone. Whould they no let you run that car in a ROAR stock race?

You are correct. Roar rules state any product for use in stock class must be
available to the public 15 days before the event takes place.
We had hoped to have kits available and for sale before cleveland But we
ran into some minor snags that impeded that from happening.
SOOOO we will just have to run 19 turn. Instead of both 19 turn and stock.
I will post pics later on tonight.
There wiil be kits available well before Scottys NOVAK race.

car sounds very intresting and very durable i'd like to see some pics of this car. Has there been a price rasnge set yet? And is it a whole car or a convertion for a tc4?
