Regarding mod classes - We had heard that some guys might show up. I got with Mark yesterday and after some thought and discussion, we have decided that no mod classes would be offered for this event. We'd love to see these classes at any of our other races but don't feel they are in keeping with the original intentions of the USVTA races.

I don't understand this but that is not my call. I can only image if other races decided not to have VTA there would be a revolt across the country.
With race tracks dying because racers are not showing up, you guys are turning away money, I'm really confused.

I don't have a strong opinion about this either way, but did anyone complain about no mod classes at Stock Wars?

I'm guessing because not enough folks signed up? Also, lets be honest, the focus of the events is really about vta/usgt.

Well, the whole point of stock wars was not to have mod - to put Paul in a 17.5 so all the people that thought they could run with him in stock would learn that they really couldn't.

i signed up originally for mod but i was the only one. no hard feelings. i'll come down, thrash a little on usgt and hopefully get to call a few races. Its all good.

I'll run mod the week after at the carpet nats and get my *ss kicked in 7 different directions

bingo....

IMO, the USVTA National events are about VTA and GT, and now F1...extra/bonus classes like TC or 12th scale or WGT are included in events like this cause mostly of local following. Its nothing against those classes, but the main focus is the USVTA classes.

I could be wrong, but the way Ive seen it since day one....
