The only hobby two hobby shops in SF are san francisco hobby company on Geary Blvd and the small one in Japan town. Neither would I go to to build a kit... Not focused enough and neither store sell a kit comparable to the yokomo's pedigree. I would build it myself...
All you really might need are some hex drivers, an x-acto blade for the parts trees, a shock stand, and a flat surface... If I didn't have a toddler aka "small parts black hole" I'd say come over and get it done.

Thanks, I've looked around ur pretty much right there. My bd7 in the box for 3 weeks now, will have to grease up to the Mrs n see if I can have 1 hour a night to build it. I made a promise no rc stuff except the visit to Amain while on holiday

You can try Sheldon's Hobbies and San Jose. Best hobby shop with most stuff in stock in the bay area! About 30-40 mins south of SF. They mite be able to build it for you.

Honestly, you are better off building this yourself. At $75.00 an hour building costs and this is a 3-5 hour minimum build if not more, that kit has become really expensive. Also there are ZERO shops in this area that I would trust any of their employees to build this caliber of a kit and expect this to be built to the standards this kit needs for best performance.

SHELDON'S Hobbies in San Jose Will Build It!
Went to Sheldon's Hobbies in San Jose and they said they can build the Yokomo for you. Give them a call and ask for the owner, AJ. They will take care of you.

+1...
I can't knock sheldons. I've never been there. I love norcal hobbies, they take good care of me as a racer and enthusiast. I support local shops as much as I can. I even like to give a portion of my personal sales to the shops if made onsite, but I wouldn't even trust cavalieri to build my touring car. Yes, I always look up build tips, but nothing like wrenching your own trusty mate. The lessons learned are far too valuable, even if some one could do it right....

Decided to get basic tools, n built the car myself. Managed to do fairly fast without getting the wifey mad ( just got married). Also found the build therapeutic haha.
