1.Im new to Carbon fibre..so should i use thick or thin CA to seal the edges?
2.how much should i file on the battery slots for side x side packs?
3.what else should i know??
thanks..
1. First, sand all the edges of your CF parts. I used 400 grit sandpaper to do this. If you have some, wear latex gloves and a respirator. I used a thin CA to seal the chassis. I soaked the tip of a Qtip with the CA, and then I lightly applied it to the sides of the chassis and battery slots. Be careful with the CF pieces, they are very sharp before sanding.

2. I beveled the corners of the slots slightly. The way to get the best results is to only take a very little amount chassis material off at a time. Keep a battery pack handy to test its fit. You don't want the battery hanging below the chassis line.

3. Take your time and use thread lock on all screws threading into aluminum.

Good Luck!

I have tried other cars with a one-way in the front and never had any success. They were all twitchy and had too much steering for my taste.

The Evo III with its one-way is very fast, yet very balanced. Rear traction is also very good with the one-way. So go ahead, drive it with the one-way, you'll like it!

my evo made its maiden voyage last night... just practice. very smooth and balanced. still waiting on the outdrives for the front ball diff though. still run right out of the box settings, on Skid-Not surface. veeeery fast, even with a practice (terd) motor!!

Bong... este... Izzyracer,

Are you sure it won't fit? The shaft on both cars looks the same, probably with a little tinkering, it should work... no guarantees though... =)

Cross stuff try Rcmodel, Control Centre, jet Hobbies all in HK. or RainbowTen in Japan.

Good luck finding Cross stuff... the Factory burned to the ground a few months ago.
