rayhuang.....thanks for bringing it to my attention.

So does any body know someone who has actually run a non-prototype version of the 3 ?? Also...can someone tell me what changes have been made to the motor mount area. Aside from being on the other side of the car,I can't see any easier maintenence involved ??

What distributor in the US is going to get the EVO III first??

I want one for Christmas!!!

Does anybody know somebody at Rainbowten I can e-mail to bring over 3 or 4 at once and save a little money?

I am a small distributor of a few lines of high performance batts, motors, tires, etc......

rayhuang...
Rainbowten won't give quantity discounts..same price whether it's 1 kit or 10. the only price break you'll get is on the shipping.
Let me check my connections in Japan and see if he can get m 3 or 4 kit for you at a discount... but I'll need payment in advance t pay him. get back to you later...

Yo Pizza Dude, Steevo here,
Give this guy a try for the EVO III (or anything else for that matter) at a good price.
His email is [email protected] or visit his web site link at the bottom of this message.
I have bought heaps from him without a problem. He is in Hong Kong (I'm in Australia) and If I order a chassis kit from him its usually $25US postage and I have my new kit in 4 Days!!!
His prices are very competitive.
His name is Andy and tell him Steven King sent you. I have my EvoIII on order with him.

rc-zombies-Without a discount-I will only need one EVOIII. I was just going to get a few and sell them, as most people either dont have the time or inclination to order kits overseas. this kit looks like its gonna be HOT!!!

BTW-not trying to make a huge profit-as anybody who buys from me knows!!! Just filling a niche!!! I guess........

Thanks and you can e-mail me as well. [email protected]

Started building the Evo3 last night...so far so good about 75% done. Shocks and universals are left to be built. Tamiya shocks are the easiest to build so I will leave them until the end.

The most striking feature of the car is the use of titanium colored aluminium parts along with a few blue spacers to highlight certain areas of the car...very nice. The propeller shaft is titanium colored and looks good but a blue shaft would have been even better The aluminium shocks are also titanium colored.

The drive train is very smooth ... as smooth as my Alex Racing Barracuda, once you soak the bearings.

The main issue I found was the drag in the metal shielded bearings...soaking the bearings in WD40 for 1 hour and blasting them with motor spray soon made them very smooth. I noticed Tamiya are releasing a blue bearing kit for the Evo3 as well but if you soak the kit bearings, they should work just as well.

The chassis seems to be stiff, there is a small hint of sideways flex but nothing unusual.

Looking good so far
