rtypec, have you figured out which titanium screws we need for the EVO 3? I'm checking my list and I'm all confused?

Hey Izzy, I looked at the back cover of the instructions and used that as a guide to what screws I needed. Most of my ti screws ended up being the older philips headed ones and not the newer hex head style. I find that I like the older ones better because they don't booger out as easily. They seem to be made up of a harder material.

futereal, I have DJ's Novak race setup sheet in pdf file format and even when it's zipped its 380K so I can't upload it here. Please let me know how I can share it with you. Once again, many thanks to David for hooking you guys up!

I almost have all the screws figured out
except for the replacement for
3 x 8 countersunk Tapping
& 3 x 8 Round head Tapping
I have part no 53015 3 x 8 tapping but I am not sure if it is a countersunk or round head.

Hey again Izzy,

The Ti 3x8 countersunk tapping does not exist in Tamiya inventory. You can use the 3x10 and they're only used for the battery hold down and center brace. The'll still work.

The Ti 3x8 roundhead tapping also does not exist but they do have some floating around in their office. You should swing TA and try to see if they can locate them for you.

You can email it to futureal@rctech.net.

I will figure out a way to get it under the size limit and then post it up here for everybody. Thanks!

Just letting you guys know, you don't really have to use tapping screw for those plastic parts, you can still use the regular screws.

If you clean up your car a lot, those tapping screw will start to lose some grip on the plastic part after a while. I remember reading some article some where that it says, if the tapping started to losing grip on the plastic parts, just use the regular screw (machine threaded?), and it will grip to the plastic better.

Default David Jun Setup?!

RTypeC.. you have the setup?? you already are a cool guy for being able to find it, but emailing it to me would make you just the coolest. heheh.. Care to share it? I know you probably have like a hundred requests for it now, but me being 101 wouldn't hurt=). Is it from a link somewhere? Maybe we can all just get it from a webpage somewhere out there over the rainbow instead of having you e-mail it to everyone. Thanks again=)
