this thread has been a bit quiet so here is a small but possibly helpful tip (and excuse to post pics)

the foam bumper on the evo 3 is prone to cracking and is rediculously over priced and difficult to buy here in perth, australia

the solution is to wrap a few layers of masking tape around the edge. I have also got a small lip on my bumper to support the front of my mazda 6 body

Default square parts

I want to buy the Square gearboxes but i'm not sure of the part numbers. i've found the pn stb-38r, but the pic only shows one half of a gear box. do i need to order 4 of these pieces, or are the front and the rear totally different (i'm pretty sure they are the same though)
thanks

vic

There is no other half. You only need the part that hold the bearing & bevel gear. The front and rear are the same.

Albino,

Those are just stock shock tower doubled up. They use that here in CA alot, to prevent damage.

does anyone know who or where the tamiya factory teams drivers get their front towers?
it seems they have an extra slot where they can mount a third body post.

it looks as if they got it from the 415.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey Kev, I'll work on a setup sheet with the stuff I've been running at TA. Hopefully, I can get it done by tomorrow and will post it here. It's nothing spectacular but it works well enough to get around the track

Anyone have any updated foam tire carpet setups? Just curious because I've been working on one lately.

Here is my setup. I use it on EVERY indoor-carpet track. And it always works very good.
