Hey Rick, I saw them packaged and a couple were on display at the Tamiya fair but I didn't bother looking at the part number. Sorry bud.

The other blue car was run yesterday at Tamiya America (Brian's car) and with a little setup ideas from DJ, it looked really strong. I can't wait until I get mine running next weekend.

I might have missed it on an earlier post, but does Tamiya sell aluminum hub carriers for the Evo 3?

What is the difference between the following? ...

- Shottky Diode
- Super Shottky Diode
- Barrier Shottky Diode

And from which online shop can we order? Thanks

Not sure about the Barrier McLaren, but the super schottky is basically equivalent to running 2 regular schottky diodes.

Nice review there. Question: do you have the square gearbox both front and rear or front only? Thanks!

I noticed that as well Rick, I also noticed he is running the white spring in front and blue spring in the rear so those tires must suck if they are looking that hard for rear traction.

White on front and Blue on the rear just helps having the same REAL stiffness on front and rear on the 414 type suspension IMHO. I always use a stiffer spring on front than on rear on my 414.

Anyway, if they were using Orion B tyres, yeah they really sucks !

Marc and most of the German TRF drivers take out the center stiffener at the Team Orion Race in Zillisheim/France.
You could see it at this report http://www.overrc.com/courses/course...ioncup2003.htm

I also tried it there and it helps on carpet really well. Especially with the 3mm chassis or if you are using the Square aluminium gearboxes.

Regarding the white and blue springs. At the German indoor nats in April this year Marc developed a setup with these springs and it works really good on carpet with rubber tires. Works with Orion B, Take Off and Sorex tires. Sometimes there are some changes depending on tires and track but basically itīs always this setup. I have to say it works so good I never use any other springs on carpet.

The partnumber for the new rear hubcarrier is 53687. There is also a lightweight propellershaft (53686) and suspension block E (53688) to be released at the same time (27 january in japan).

Hi guys, here's a progress report of the blue car. It's done. All it needs is electronics and setup work and it'll be running.
