I think the days for EVO3 already less interested for Tamiya as they will promote TRF415 which they claimmed to be the next winning chassis. It is just like when the EVO3 is out and the days for 414 is coming to an end.

Would it be obvious that by end of next year, there would be TB EVO IV? Anyway, we are still fortunate using TRF chassis kits as they are share most of the parts.

The front one-way is bit heavy ... is there a lighter alternative on the market? At least light drive cups? Anything?

There is one that fits the 414M2 but I have not tried this in the EVO3.

I would go with the lightweight spool that one of my friends have developed. I have tried this out during the weekend and the speed coming out of the corner is unbelieveable! I was able to put 1 lap ahead of the TQ.

The only thing I noticed is that you still have to shimm this to fit perfectly. I think there's a reason why Troy developed it this way... Troy?

Let me know which way it meeds to shim. I felt that if that racer was to shim it that cna get it how the like it. How much did you have to shim it. Also how new it the box? the box could possible spread with age and the torque. let me know I can make adjustment if it is excessive.

The shimm was about .8 on the right side when facing the car. The gbox is a bit old though, I need to replace this. There is still a bit of clearance on the mesh after shimming, I need to try this out again and see if the mesh jumps when braking. I did 2 runs on this and the cups are still good.

I did feel a slight jump in the mesh when accelerating, maybe it's just the traction. I have to do more testing.

Overall I was happy with the spool, two more guys might come out with the same spool this weekend.

I also had to cut down the screw that holds the gear in place, otherwise this will hit the bearing. I used the screws that came with the Tamiya 1 way.

I will let you know what I found out next week.
