Hi Peter. Nope, no bottom chassis yet and that's why I haven't been on the thread lately. I'm pretty convinced the chassis will never be sent so I've decided to get one myself. R10 has them available so I'm placing an order today.
Difuser, I'll keep an eye out for new info on those chassis pieces. Thanks

I am curious to know how you guys measure your "Drive train Spin Count"......Do you just spin the prop shaft with out the pinion on the motor and see how long it spins????

To get a spin count from my chassis I put it on a good grippy stand, take the pinion off . Grab the 2 rear wheels and give them a good spin. count how long they spin for.

Default Carpet Setup help.

Need help with any set up ideas for a carpet setup. Setup suggestions relative to Trackside or Venture would be great. I just got my Evo 3 and would like to get it set up well from the begining. I only have limited practice time.

f1larry.

there are 3 fast superstock guys who run at Venture with that car....none of them follow this board though.

in superstock rubber this weekend 3 of the top 6 were tamiya Evo's.

i'm sure if you go by there on race day they could help you out.

1st and 2nd was won by Evo 3's.

So guys

Whats going to be happening at the world? New prototype? Drivetrain? Evo4 in the making?

So far i was told that Tamiya have no plans of a prototype and might just be running the Evo3S.

I really hope there is a new car, Im sooo like nearly satisfied with the Evo3 S to be my car of all cars but i just want tamiya to make that last step into exellent and sort the drive train out.

anyone have any news?

thanks

Tarnjit

you could be very right, after all they are very similar exept for drive train.

ive had a go with a 414 and it just didnt seem to feel as consistant to drive as my evo. my evo handles a dream i love it, you will have to try it when you come to Bedworth G

So far Tamiya is not producing any TB Evo 3 and is not going to.

When asking R10, they answers that the evo series is an evolutive car, and they are going to release one every year. So next ride for the worlds will be the Evo 4.

Wow that's very smooth. I just finished mine, not broken in yet, but the wheels don't even want to spin freely. What am I missing? Am I putting too much grease/grease too viscous in drivetrain?

I have the surikarn and comes with blue bearings, was i supposed to do anything to them before i put them in??

1st : do not put any grease in the drive train.

2nd : You want to remove the grease that is in the bearing out of the factory before using them. WD 40 could work, or white spirit etc... The bearings should spin freely. Remove the seals before, and once the grease removed, add some thin oil.

3rd : you don't have to say that you haven't broken it in yet, just say broken it, ha ha ha...
