So I didnīt use it and stick with the custom oneway as this is working.

But I donīt think Steen will just use the new gear without the changes he has done to gearbox and other things he was using before.
I agree. How did you get it? I heard they were prototypes.....But Steen did get them for Geramny so maybe you know the gut he got them from?

Yes the gears are prototype and from what I know there is no release date yet. Iīm pretty shure Steen got them from the German Team Manager. I got mine at the nationals when someone from Tamiya Europe (donīt know his name) arrived and had them fresh from the factory. Looks similar to a Barracuda gear.

If it's similar to the R2 gear, that thing will be nearly impossible to strip

What type of final gearing ratio will you suggest for a large asphalt track outdoors using :

- 19 Turn Stock
- 21 Turn Stock
- 23 Turn Stock

Always using a stock motor ... to improve acceleration ... do you use soft springs or hard springs on the motor brushes?

use harder brushes to increase torque and softer to increase top rpm

My final drive ratio on the TB EVO 3S is 4.92 ....... using a 21 Turn Stock Motor ........ I need more acceleration and top speed ...... any suggestions what I can do ?

I bought some new 3300 batteries ...... and although they seem too much aggressive ..... putting more strain on the motor ....... decreasing acceleration ..... in the end !

Although I have no experience with a 21 turn motor at all, 4.91 seems pretty high geared, possibly gear down and the motor will be able to rev up.

Believe me it will strip also! Maybe not as easy as the stock one but it will strip. Have seen this at the nationals even with a 3 piece prototype driveshaft. But as said before itīs not because of the gear.

What does work great is a diff in the front. You never have any problems with that
But the oneway from Jurgen is very good if you like to use a oneway
