Either way...it'd be intersting to see how the other drivers did in their mains last year. Thanks for the info, and I'll see what I can find. It'd be good to preview their driving styles as I've heard that they drive differently than here in the US. Perhaps I may need to alter mine...I'll have a look. Thanks!

Nothing new on the Evo3 front for me. I'll be stripping the electronics out of my winning SL (three weeks old) in order to make it a shelf queen and use those electronics in whatever chassis they decide that we run at the wolrds.

Also, Tamiya requested that I fill out a setup sheet so that they can host it on their site. I'll drop that off today and hopefully you guys can access it there. Please keep in mind that even though the "Driver" portion has my name on it, I cannot take credit for this setup. This setup is based on David Jun's and David Beale's setup from this year's Reedy Race and I made changes to it to suit my driving style. The Daves were kind enough to offer me tuning ideas/principles specific to the Evo3S and that helped me understand it much quicker as this was a new chassis for me and it was such a radical change from what I typically run on the standard Evo.

In any event. Take care and have fun racing this weekend!

You'll probably want an 04R Rod unless you can use the SEVO. (unlikely)
The E2 was a dog over there last year.

He was talking about his TCS Nats Win. But that would be nice if you can post that over so that we can check it out.

I hope I find out soon. If it's an 04R, I'd better start soaking the belts hehe. If it's an EvoS, I'll have to build the new one

Do you still have an 04R Rod, or are you gonna have to buy another car?

I have a beater 04R and it's too far gone to be considered for such a big race. Whatever chassis they choose on, I'll buy and build myself a freshy with ALL of the go-fast goodies hehe.

I would post a pic if I had a digital camera with me. I'll see if I can get my brother to bring up one of them. I'll take a pic as soon as possible.

Aren't you going to be at the track tomorrow? I can just show you. It saves a lot of space. You can lay all of your stuff down flat on the chassis and still have room for a GT7 if need be.

*Doh!* I just remembered. Here's a couple pics of my Reedy car that Tamiya has on their site. It shows the space savings. I mounted my transponder on top of the servo but should have mounted it underneath the steering (looks cleaner):

As you can see there is plenty of room. It may not seem like it in the pics but there's lots of space between the electronics.

Thumbs up countersinking top deck!

i had my first race meet with my newly counter-sunk top deck. this small mod is excellent! my car no longer becomes tweeked at the smallest or even largest touch, or crash.

i recommend it if you have tweek issues when you hit something.
