On a tight track I would run somewhere around 6.3-6.7 over all gearing with the P2K2.
Thanks a bunch Tony!

In a TA-04R, I used to run between 6.2 to 6.5 on a tight track. Used Tamiya B2s mainly. No specific break-in for the motor.
Maybe you will get to run it soon.

Have you been able to compare the 23t motor to a 27turn in your 04? If you have what have you noticed between the two.

No I haven't, but I believe if you gear the 27 turn correctly, you should be able to get around the same top speed but will lose out slightly in the turns where acceleration counts.

1 more question...

The lower the final gear ratio (6.3), the more bottom end?

Also, what pitch is this...

The lower the FD ratio the more top end you get. The higher it is, the more bottom end punch you get.

What Sushi Boy Said.

Well you said you had a 90T spur so I assumed it was the Tamiya 0.4 pitch which is close enough to 64pitch, so you will need similar pitch pinions, the Tamiya ones are very nice and light I use them.

the only difference in the Surikarn Edition besides the one-way brace are the reinforced cup joints. no need to shim with washers compared with the regular EvoIII.

part number for the cup joint is: 53590

the 414s will be a bit ttricky, as they have no notch to get to the bottom diff housing screw... you will have to remove the block when you pull the diff. but they should be stronger, since they are thicker. tamiyausa's site gives 3454073 for the part #

What length are the Titanium turnbuckles included in the Surikarn EVO3īs? For steering itīs 18mm I think but what is for the a-arms? The stock EVO3 uses 28mm steel turnbuckles but as I know there is no 28mm Titanium turnbuckle from Tamiya right now. Is there a new 28mm Titanium with the Surikarnīs or is the 32mm turnbuckle included?
