On the body, I've been using the Ferrari Modena and it works really well. I'm wondering if the new NSX or the AMG Mercedes work will work as well, anyone tried these bodies yet?

The new 2003 NSX shell seems to be the shell of choice in Japan at the moment, it looks to handle very well as well. Rick

The Mercedes if like the last one the roof line is very high along with weight. The new NSX was all over the place with the Modena just as popular.

Default Diff kit!!

I just heard through the grapevine that a diff kit is in the works for the EVO3 and should be available in the US in a few weeks!!! Great-but still too long for me!!

But in the meantime-here are the parts needed to build one piece by piece!!
50992 Diff joints
> 9805671 Diff Spring
> 9805670 Ball Thrust washer
> 53030 Ball Bearings (2)
> 9805669 Cap Screw 2x25mm
> 9805889 2mm locknut
> Part A5 from tree 50988 (plastic locknut holder).
> 53563 Diff Rings

Default EVO3 Available in US??

According to Tamiya USA the EVO 3 is in stock and has been shipping in the US for about 1 week. Has anyone seen one on the shelf yet? I've been calling around all morning and I can't find any LHS that has received any yet.

Steve...?

Tower and Horizon, the big 2 distributors for Tamiya, both say mid January availability with prices in the 450.00 plus area. Yikes. If the smaller shops are getting them, maybe they found Rayhuang's source

Steevo,
I tried the older version Mercedes- "DTM2000" I think. It's has almost an identical profile to the new one. Even with the dinky injection moled plastic rear wing, the Merc body pushed pretty bad. Turn in was slightly less than mediocre and corner exit had a big push. The Skyline and Ferrari were much better.

We'll get the car kits as soon as the US supplier have them. I have a feeling it will be less than $300 (I hope) Tower's price seems a bit too high.

I'm definitely going to concentrate on having part support for the EVOIII line, so look for those on our website soon.

rtypec,

you're joking right?
