troy crabtree (the machinist) will be coming down to the reedy race with us. he will be bringing about 30 steel versions, and i think somewhere in the neighborhood of 35 or so aluminum versions.

i am not sure wether or not he is going to be selling them at that time... but there will definately be loaners floating around, just talk to troy while you are there, and you should have no problem scoring a spool.

Question?

Is this spool going to be a TCS legal item?

unfortunately no... the spool will not be legal for TCS. the onlyway a spool is legal for TCS, is if A. you "acidentally" use epoxy or JB weld for diff lube... or B. tamiya actually produces their own spool.

I was thinking about "A" Thx...I have one for my TA04 made all 99.9% (except for the epoxy...heck even Tamiya make epoxy) from Tamiya parts.

Say Peter, what do you think about that new hi po buggy that Tamiya just launched?

Depends what you want for spares, as you say all the suspension is TA04, driveshafts TRF414M2 so they're easy to get. You could try Iris at Cheshire models (iris.cheshiremods@btopenworld.com) I know she has a few spares as she is the main supplier for the Eurocup. If not the best is to bring them in from Japan.
At the moment we are still running at the old track as we are still trying to find a new venue

Alan
Nick Adams at Demon Power may be worth a call too as he does stock some but not all Tamiya stuff.

The .4 mod that comes with the EVO are only a small fraction smaller pitch than 64dp so if you want to use 64dp then anything upto 96. You can use 64dp pinions on the kit spurs with no problems. (this is according to RW racing )

so for any others who would like to have spool, and will be attending the 2003 Reedy Touring Car Race of Champions in next weekend... contact either difuser or myself through private message, and you will be added.

though only those who will be attending this race may pre order now.
