I guess it was a time for a regime change at socal but my dictatorship didn't last long hehe.

when there is hard impact,
the FRONT ONE WAY GEAR(the gear attached to the Front one way)will have tendency to STRIP.
bad design/bad material.
to solve this, there are expensive ways(which are more permanent) and there are moderate ways and cheap ways.
expensive:get the new One Way unit
get a backing plate from Square
moderate:buy many gears /replace as needed
cheap:cutting/modifying the crown gear(this is a little difficult to explain)
Thanks a lot ! That's exactly what I was looking for. Is there a link to Square, where I can see the plate and/or order one?

Hey Maui-Built aka Joven,

The track will be open this weekend for practice as usual. It may or may not be open next week because of RCX. And Fred is leaning more towards closing the track down for a couple of weeks before the Reedy Race. See ya Saturday.

Also, just got some of the new low friction tie-rod ends. They're supposed to be stiffer and won't booger as easily as the existing ones.

Finally got a set of those dialed flush cuts....wohoo!

I think that the track will be open during the weekend of RCX. Since most ot the Tamiya guys will be working the show, there's just that small bit of uncertainty of who will be opening/closig the track.

How far is the TA track from the Disneyland area? I'm planning on doing a side trip during a vacation trip next month. Thanks.
