Im2lazy - No question that the metric weights do not map directly to SAE weights. I was just going by what was said on this thread before. My post was meant as a general a guide, not an exact scientific reference for metric to SAE oil weights.

Yokomo MR-4TC SD or a Tamiya EVO 3? They somehow look similar to me... what are their advantages and differences?

I'd have to say the Evo 3 with a front diff. This is the Evo 3 thread, what did you expect?

What is the story on the Evo 3? I was all set to buy one this week...lol Now I hear they are discontinued. Does Tamiya have plans to put out something else in its place. The "Red Version" is a little out of my price range. You Tamiya guys if you have any info please let us know. I really want to get into a competition Tamiya car but if they have something coming out soon then I would wait.

Thanks for any info!

Jeff

I can't confirm if it is indeed discontinued but guessing how the red version is coming out soon, it will likely be discontinued if not yet.
Yes the Tamiya EVO 3 red version will be coming out sometime on May in Asia and maybe by June here in the U.S., so if you can wait that long and willing to pay the price it's a better buy than what is out now.
The TB series is always evolving so just get what you can afford and will make you happy.
