I know serpent is working on a new blade material that should solve all the issues.

Today was my first day with my new 4.0 CFK Version. Biggest issue was blades (lost 3 of them and spool is not looking good any more) and tracktion rolling. Any setup tipps to avoid the car rolling? The track is high grip carpet.

Try this one! It worked great and you might go down even more on the front shocks to 450 or 400. Dont forget the 0.1 or 0.2 shimming under front top deck screws!

Also try glueing theholes in the blades a little in front.

Bedt tip i have is to get the Aluminum chassis.

Just bought a slightly used 4.0 with alot of parts, upgraded from a 2.0 and wow what a difference!
I went to the track and took a few laps, 0.7 sec faster on a 11 sec track, very easy to drive compared to the old one

Yeah the 4.0 is/was an excellent car!! Huge difference from the 2.0 with the best and most significant improvements being the single piece motor mount - this really did fix the flex issues we had and made the car much easier to drive.

The Project 4x is even better!

I have a couple of drivers here that have 4x, seems very hard to set up right, one has bought a Schumacher mi6 instead and he's much more pleased with that

Interesting view point. Actually I find my 4x much easier to setup than my old 411's. Importantly the tweek in particular is very easy to maintain. Once you understand what the 4x is it is a piece of cake!

Just wondering if anyone here might know if there is a 5.0 coming out ? Or is that it for the Eryx line now that the 4-x is out ?

Haven't heard anything and I doubt we will get another 411 given the success of the 4x thus far. Maybe one day but I don't think anytime soon. The 3.0 and 4.0 were great cars - still are in my opinion.

They make the front flex less and stiffen up the front. The 4.0 carbon chassis flex so much that it hooks in the corners and you will slide with the rear. thats why you need to stiffen the chassis so much.

will alloy chassis work outdoors? serp website says alloy "very similar flex" as the carbon. any experience?

I refuse to spend the money for a carbon chassis.
