Default sanding diff ring or not w/ ceramic balls?

is using a sanded (not polished) diff ring bad for ceramic balls? since the ring is rough, when the spur slips, will it damage the ceramic nitride balls?

I kinda doubt the diff rings will damage nitride diff balls.

If your diff is slipping with ceramic diff balls, more damage is happening to the rings than the balls as they are harder than the rings.
