Just finished wiring up my D08. Super nice car. The amount of machining and attention to detail in this kit is second to none.
Here are some photos showing weights.
502g bare chassis with box stock setup (with the exception of the 100t 64p panaracer spur).
1241g wired up without body, and 1329g with PF LW MS6 body.

had a great run with the car first time out.

close to kit setup with a few changes: http://site.petitrc.com/reglages/vbc...acing20160118/

car is very quick, rotates very precisely, and is easy to drive.

definitely happy with the car - can't speak too much on durability, but the plastics look very similar to the stronger yokomo/xray, and break off the parts trees in the same clean manner.

Default Compatibility of parts

Dear all

I got my D07 only about 6 months ago, so I refuse to shell out on a D08 (don't get to race enough to buy a new car each year) - that said, there are some nifty bits that I like, namely:

1. ball raced Anti Roll bars
2. new steering arms
3. new motor mount

What D08 parts fit the D07.

I would appreciate some good answers as opposed to smart alec ones.

thanks

Roll bars , no they mount differently on the 08 from the 07 ( on the bulkheads )
Steering arms, yes but they are a harder plastic than the 07
Motor mount., No it is way different to the 07
All of the plastics on the 08 are harder & better quality than the 07 but it will all fit on the 07
Hope this helps

I think the execution of the VBC bearing mounted sway bars is better than the x-rays. However, I believe in the end they provide virtually no performance benefit on any car and the only purpose they serve is to drive cost up as a marketing gimmick. Same goes with the variable toe rear suspension.

Considering the limited travel of the suspension on a TC, I think the ball bearing mounted anti-roll bar is actually an excellent idea, because it reduces slop. This is one place where the tiniest bit of slop could make your anti-roll bar almost ineffective.

Got it, "steering arms" threw me off, not thinking it was the suspension arms, but the "steering lever arms" that where referenced to.

Yes, plastics are very nice on this car.

Default it's not about distance travelled

I see the logic of the bearings. It is not about the distance they move, or the associated speed - it is about the bars being located precisely - this becomes more important the tighter the margins. It prevents problems with tweak as well.

I appreciate your help there.

I am sure the 08 is better than the 07, but in my hands it'll make no difference.

I just wish that the VBC was better supported in the UK. The schumachers, Xrays, Tamiyas, and Yokomos always have trackside spares available, in fact you even get Awesomatix and ARC but the VBC hasn't any - a real shame

It's always great to have local kit and parts supply.

But even those brands with lots of stock locally at one point, had no local support.

Things will improve, VBC is only getting better.

I will say this, the D07 that I have has had very low wear, and only one actual breakage - so that is a good thing. I am a big supporter of Local Hobby Stores who go to the trouble of stocking spares and supporting local clubs - so I try to avoid mail order from HK where possible. In addition I appreciate the risk involved with buying stock - but in all honesty it does not change the fact that it is frustrating.

I think earlier in this thread there were comparisons made between cars, and someone wisely said that there is nothing to choose between the cars out there (Perhaps Durango DETC excluded ...)

I really like the D07 - good as anything else out there (I've had Yokes, a Cyclone, a Schumacher, and Xrays too).

Hi there, I'm new to VBC Touring cars and I wonder what droop value to start with. I don't like the droop over ride hight to start fine tune it. So my asso cars I start with 6front and 5 rear. Also wich point of the arm, front and rear you place the tool under
