Hello, I just got 2016 version. What would be a good starting point gearing wise for 25.5? CRC black carpet, Yokomo tire F/R, med size track, Speedzone 25.5 motor. I've looked at setup sheets and in this forum and can't find 25.5 gearing, plenty of 21.5, thanks

3.0 - 3.3 start at 3 and go from there. I run a 3.13 fdr turning a 100t spur on a medium track (80+ ft backstraight) crc black carpet, pit 571/572 compounds. Consistently in the top 3

I don't see a thread for the evo, but I am assuming the wing mounts are the same on both vehicles. I had no idea the kit didnt come with a wing. I am wondering what wings fit these cars? The only one i can get in quick are the associated ones. Do they fit?

Thanks,

Any of the tamiya style wing mounts will fit, i.e. protoform, tamiya, 3racing, montech, zen

(not sure if we need a new thread or not -- please provide opinion on this) i got to run the Rapide F1 Evo this weekend ... and i'm amazed at the changes on the car. the car is light. adding 70g to the car to basically make weight -- which is a great advantage to be able to move weight around.

found an amazing setup with the help of Wayne Gerber and Sam Isaacs this weekend allowing me to set a new track record at 360v2. big thanks to Mike Pags for some magical tire prep that really brought the car to the next level for the main event allowing me to go for 5m w/o a single flip. happy to show any roche drivers this tire prep method at iic -- and to share it publically post iic

I just finished building this kit and would love to see your setup if you can post it or PM it! I am new to F1 so this would go a long way for me.

Thanks!

Default Pivot ball bushing, spur gear

Ran the Roche 2016 last night in stock setup on a high grip asphalt track. I'm not sure if i should post this in the Evo thread or here, but i really need some help.

1. Front arms kept hopping like rabbits on steroids during high speed corners with snapping sound of metal rubbing against metal. I believe it's the king pin rubbing against the pivot balls.
(All pivot balls are free with no binding. 7k shock oil on the king pin shaft.)

2. I used pliers to pinch the front arms pivot ball bushing to remove the binding. I think i overdid it. Now the pivot balls pop out very easily. Is there a better solution? I've read in the Roche 2016 thread that Xray bushings will fit. Is this a good solution?

3. Stripped the spur. Noticed it's not perfectly centered. Is there a better alternative?

Thanks very much in advance!

Thanks,
You can mount the Associated wing on the 2016. However I recommend that you shim it, otherwise, you'll be dragging it in the corners. Also, the Evo front body mount post is now available, and will fit into the Associated wing, just like their new F1. Basically a knock off.

Default Rear ride height

I want 5mm rear ride height but the highest i can get is 4.5mm. I even fitted new Ride XR tires. Is there any way i can increase the ride height?
I really don't want to file down the motor rack!
