NO, it is not ROAR legal. You or someone has moved one of the spring posts to the other side of the hood and added heatsinks. In dealing with stock motors and race rules, you are limited to cutting the com, aligning the brush hoods and messing with brushes...NOTHING ELSE (someone oplease correct me if I am wrong).

What you have done will not effect the performance of the motor and will be fine for club racing (assuming your clubs doesn not mind this rule breaker...most would not). But any race following ROAR rules would deem this motor illegal.

Axiom does that to their stock motors. Well atleast the monsters. And they are a ROAR affiliate or something, so it's gotta be legal.

BSchorr 11-09-2005 06:53 PM

no, the psrings posts are where they are suspose to be

DavidAlford 11-09-2005 06:57 PM

If he had moved the spring post to use the old style springs (like Birdman does) then the motor would be illegal.

Jimmy Morris 11-09-2005 06:57 PM

Yeah they are in the correct place.

Yeah, sorry guys, I just got done rebuilding a bunch of modfied motors tonight and got my P's and Q's mixed up.

But the motor is still not race legal with the additions of the heatsinks.

BSchorr 11-09-2005 07:00 PM

Hey, look at the Axiom Monster Stock or even the Reedy MVP, then look at mine, same thing, heat sinks and all

Jimmy Morris 11-09-2005 07:03 PM

Ya I have an axiom monster sitting right here with heat sinks....it came like that.

jiml 11-09-2005 07:04 PM

Adding the heat sinks is legal. It does not modify the construction of the endbell, it's just an add on.

Using your thinking an Associated clip on heat sink would be illegal. It's not.
