Awesomatix set ups

Another thing to note regarding using other people's setups is driving style changes the setup considerably. Usually it comes down to the driver's preference between drag-brake and push-brake, but I've tried some champion winning setups that I could barely drive around the track. The trick is to find something that gets you into the ballpark of your specific racing surface/conditions, and then tinker from there. What I find works for me is considerably different from what other people run, including my buddy that drives the same car at the same track.
I would say a slight downside to the Awesomatix is its harder to simply copy someone elses setup and have it work for you.
On the upside its so quick and easy to make adjustments without replacing fluids, springs, or other parts that playing with many different setups in a day is much more feasible.

I always add downstops to my setups to stop chassis scrape....

I am referring to the opposite of droop: the Awesomatix has screw holes to stop the chassis from scraping the ground... Nobody seems to use these setup options...

Most the team setups on Amx USA website are from big race high grip races. You may need to tame them a bit but i would try either of these even thou there for 13.5

Mike Gee 2014 IIC A700 Evo 13.5 IIC Carpet USA Las Vegas NV 18 October 2014

John,
I have been running a combo of Mike Gee's 17.5 and 13.5 set-up's with great success at matrix (on a EVO 2), i am running the soft springs all around so i run 3mm gap intsead of the 6 mm he runs on the rear. Last season with an EVO 1 i found running an adaptation on Josh Cyruls set-up from the mile high's to work quite well. I would be more than happy to help you out with your car's set-up.

If you look at the Awesomatix USA setup sheets you'll see last years 17.5 winning setup from Victoria That being said, I agree with WesRaven... It usually comes down to driving style.
Just note the chassis thickness is 2mm with my setup , so adjust accordingly for whatever chassis plate you have. Also, I'm unsure if the spec / handout tires are the same this year...

These setups are all baseline from where you start your adjustments....
